Jewellery care

Sterling silver tarnishes naturally with exposure to the air, environment, perfumes, moisturisers, hairspray, soaps and perspiration. Tarnish is caused by a reaction with sulphur that naturally occurs in the air.

We recommend cleaning and storing your jewellery with the soft microfibre cloth included in our packaging. It is best not to swim, shower or exercise wearing your jewellery. Exposing jewellery to household chemicals and cleaning products may also damage the silver and the stones.

Vermeil is a thick layer of gold over hight-quality sterling silver. Our vermeil pieces are plated with a solid 3 micron layer of 18-carat gold. Although gold vermeil will not tarnish like silver, it may become dirty and fade slightly with wear. Bumps and scratches might cause the gold layer to wear away faster. We advice to store your gold vermeil jewellery wrapped it in the soft microfibre cloth that will prevent scratches.
